The Hon. Joseph R. Nolan, Of Belmont and Scituate died peacefully April 23, 2013 surrounded by his family.
Loving husband of Peggy (Kelly) for 66 Years. Devoted father of Jacqueline Nolan of New York, Janice Henry and her husband The Hon. Bruce Henry of Belmont, Leonard Nolan and his wife Arlene (Welch) of Winchester, Barbara Nolan Bouchie and her husband Albert of Belmont, Maura Brown and her husband Harold of Brookline, Martina Alibrandi and her husband Mark of Belmont and Joseph Nolan Jr. and his wife Therese (DiGiovanni) of Belmont.
Also survived by 27 loving grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Brother of the late John Nolan.
Joe was a graduate of BC High, Boston College and Boston College Law School. Joe was a Retired Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, retired law professor and author of many legal treatises.
Joe was the President of the Catholic Lawyers Guild.
